I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Kit’s dog, Panda at the Old Sugar Mill Winery. Kit wanted to do her annual calendar portrait of Panda and it’s for a good cause. Although Panda’s large build can be intimidating to strangers, he’s actually the most friendly dog I’ve met. If you like the calendar you’re seeing, you can order a copy to see the rest of the other photos. All proceeds will go toward the Sierra Pacific Pyrenees Rescue.

Daniel and I met two years ago when we were in the same three classes and study group in Davis. Some time around February I got a call from Daniel telling me that his girlfriend Cindy, who has been following my work, wanted me to be their photographer. Of course I was more than honored that they hired me to do a photoshoot of them and happily obliged. Hope you enjoy seeing some of their whacky antics as much as I enjoyed shooting them!

Dan Phan Photography and lulu photography are teaming up! Donate to help the people of the Sendai area of Japan and receive a mini photo session with both Dan Phan and Christina Liang.

As you all know about the devastation that Japan went through and saw the surreal images, we can’t just be idle about it and pretend everything is still hunky dory. If you haven’t yet donated money to Japan yet but know that you want to, here’s your chance! Both Christina and I are combining our efforts to give you a mini photo-session in exchange for a donation. For a limited time, we will be offering three types of photoshoots with 100% of the profits going towards Direct Relief International.

Option 1: 30 mins for a $20 donation with 6 edited images
Option 2: 45 mins for a $35 donation with 8 edited images
Option 3: 60 mins for a $50 donation and 12 edited images

We will also have the option of a makeup artist/hairstylist ($5 hair/$5 makeup–our makeup artist is forwarding all proceeds to Direct Relief International) if you’d really like to make your session more special.

Any extra donations will be welcomed. Or, if you’re too far away but would still like to help, feel free to donate away and we’ll send it to Direct Relief International for you.

What to Expect:

As these are mini sessions, we kindly request that you come dressed in the outfit you’d like to be photographed in so you can maximize your time with us. Also, you would be able to pick the type of session you’d like–be it headshots for your business or new profile pictures, mini engagement sessions, pet photos, or even a family session for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.

Because of the time constraints, this will not be the same as a full on engagement/family/senior session (2-4 hours) but don’t worry, you’ll still get a lot of great images from both Christina and I.

To set up your appointment, please email either Christina (weilun22@gmail.com) or myself (danphanphoto@gmail.com).

We will also have set days for our Seattle and Los Angeles area friends too!

We will be closing appointments and donations April 30th. Actual sessions will be booked until 30th.
